These were are real disappointment to the kids. Even within the same room the sound quality is poor. At a distance of over about 50 feet, they are not worth using, though the box advertises a “300 ft working range”. Since they don’t really work well, they’ve become toys for imaginative play.
My son got this as a birthday present when he turned 6. He played with it for couple of days. Too much static! Not at all fun.
